Masjid al-Momineen is managed by the members of the Kokni Muslim Welfare Society (KMWS), Blackburn. The KMWS was founded in 1973 with approximately 30 members. Most members are the first generation of migrant from East Africa. It is a non-profit making organisation and relies on membership contributions. At present it has over 200 contributing members cz-lekarna.com. All the members of the society are followers of the Shafii school of thought.
